Aside from the picture looking with better graphics, he said: “major updates” are coming to Horizon Worlds and the VR headsets aimed at bettering the graphics and resolution. Details of all these will be shared in the upcoming Connect event.
Promising a Better Metaverse
Meta has been spending billions of dollars on its futuristic metaverse projects – especially on Horizon Worlds to make people interact in a new and virtual social setting. While the company had bet its entire stake on it, the early renders of this virtual world were seriously mocked by the community. Last week, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg shared a picture of his avatar in the Horizon Worlds – announcing the launch in France and Spain – by standing in front of a VR Eiffel Tower and Barcelona’s Sagrada Familia. This was quickly circulated on major social media platforms for criticizing the poor graphics and vision of Meta eventually. Now, defending the criticism indirectly, Zuckerberg shared yet another picture of his metaverse Avatar – now with life-like graphics – at the ancient ruins. Acknowledging the previous image as pretty basic, he promised several improvements to the avatar and headgear soon. More regarding this will be shared in the upcoming Connect Conference, he noted. While we wait to see what Zuckerberg can bring us, Horizon Worlds is making cool improvements to attract creators – although by taking a huge cut in their revenue.
